ABOUT US
WE exist to make disciples built on the foundation of Jesus Christ - anchored in his love, his truth, and his name
LOVE GOD
As Christians, we believe that we are to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. We also express our love by knowing God, obeying His Word, keeping His Word, and applying His truth to our daily lives.
LOVE People
As Christians, we believe that we are to love and serve one another. We love people because Jesus first loved us. Regardless of your background, history, or knowledge of God, we are committed to reach people with the love of Jesus Christ - to know Him deeply and to follow Him fully.

Bible Beliefs
Anchor City Church is a Bible-centered church. That means we believe and practice what is explicitly taught in the Bible. We believe and teach the following:
-
We are founded upon the belief that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant and perfect Word of God. It is true in all that it teaches. As the flawless Word of God, it is our only authority for what we believe and how we live (2 Tim 3:15-17).
-
We believe in the great commission and are endeavoring to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with love, mercy and compassion - Helping people know Him deeply and to follow Him fully. (Matthew 28:18-20)
-
We believe there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4). He is the creator of heaven and earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), as the Son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit in the church today). The fullness of the one God was manifested in the flesh, through Jesus Christ. At His name, every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord (Col 2.9, I Tim 3:16, Eph 4:4-6, Phil 2:9-11).
-
We believe everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ (Rom 3:23-25; 6:23; Eph 2:8-9).
-
The gospel is the good news that Jesus lived a perfect life, died for our sins, was buried, and rose again three days later. We express our belief in the gospel through our obedience to the gospel. We obey the gospel and apply it to our lives by repenting of our sins (death to sin), being baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection) with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues. This threefold experience is the consistent pattern of conversion in the early church (1 Cor 15:1-4; 2 Thes 1:8; 1 Pet 4:17; Mark 1:15; Acts 15:7; Rom 6:3-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; 8:9-17; 10:1-48; 19:1-7).
-
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is the only saving name that washes one’s sins away, and is consistent within the pattern of conversion in the early church. (Matt 28:19, Acts 2:37-39, 4:12, 8:16, 10:47-48, 19:3-5, Romans 6:3-6, Col 2:11-14).
-
As a Pentecostal church, we believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues (Mark 16:17, Luke 24:49, Acts 2:4, 8:14-17, 10:44-46). It is a promise to all believers to have this experience (John 7:38-39, Acts 2:39).

Item descriptioAs Christians we are to love God and love others. We are to worship God joyfully and seek to live a life that is pleasing to him both inwardly and outwardly—in our thoughts, words, and actions. We are empowered to live a life pleasing to God through the Holy Spirit. We believe that the supernatural gifts of the Spirit are at work in and for the church today and are available to all Spirit-filled believers (Mark 12:28-31; 1 Cor 12:8-10; 2 Cor 7:1; Rom 8:13-14; Gal 5:19-26; Heb 12:14).n
-
We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He ministers to His people through tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy; words of knowledge and wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, working of miracles, healing, helps and government (Mark 16:15-18, Acts 5:16, 2 Corinthians 12:1-11).
-
Jesus Christ is coming again to rapture his church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life in heaven with Jesus Christ, and the unrighteous eternal death. (1 Thes 4:16-17; Rev 20:11-15).
